Mount View Primary School is a friendly, energetic and highly motivated community that enjoys the reputation of being one of the most respected primary schools in Victoria, Australia. The school provides an education where the students strive to achieve their personal best in all learning domains: cognitively, physically, spiritually, socially and emotionally. The school is a fully accredited IB World School providing the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IB PYP).
As educators, we believe that learning opportunities are enhanced by the application of local, national and international frameworks and the school has a holistic approach to education. Mount View Primary School embraces the concept of the children being responsible citizens who are shaped by, and can shape the world in which they live.
The school provides an attractive, safe and stimulating learning environment for all students. The Mount View community is culturally diverse with a high percentage of families with a Language Background Other Than English.
The school is set in extensive, secure grounds and has an ITC Learning Centre and specialist areas for visual arts, performing arts and physical education. The spacious Library contains a wide range of reading and resource material. ITC systems in each classroom also support student learning from Preparatory Year to Year 6.
