We are a K-12 institution with three branches currently serving the communities of Mexico City and the City of Cuernavaca in the State of Morelos, Mexico, and since 1980 pioneer members of the International Baccalaureate Organisation in our country

Our school was founded on the principles of world understanding and the shaping and developing of world citizens open to the international community through the knowledge, appreciation and values of our own national tradition, history and cultural heritage.

We can say that the ISSE Organization and Olinca Institute were born at the same time, in 1973, and since then, we have participated in the ISSE exchange program with more than 26 schools from the United States, India, Costa Rica, Australia, Ecuador, and have also established exchanges with other schools in countries like China, France, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Denmark, El Salvador, Canada, Spain, Philippines, Finland, Cuba, England, Peru, Romania, Russia, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.

Olinca has a distinctive attribute. Our students hold our visiting delegations from all over the world in the highest esteem, and they have always invariably made our visitors feel at home, surrounded by the natural warmth and special endearment of the Mexican folk.

Olinca values and makes productive use of the diversity of cultures and perspectives that exists in both the school and the local, national and global communities to enhance learning. At the same time the adults in our school community demonstrate a commitment to international understanding and responsible citizenship.

Our school: Encourages active learning that fosters responsible citizenship and international awareness. Encourages student learning which celebrates and fosters understanding of different cultural identities. Provides resources that offer access to different cultures, perspectives and languages. Provides a safe, secure and stimulating environment based on understanding and respect. Promotes international awareness on the part of the adults and the students in the school community.
