Bethany School is a private Episcopalian school of 265 students in grades K-8. It is run by the Convent of the Transfiguration and is located in a northern suburb of Cincinnati, Ohio. The school was started in 1898. The campus is comprised of 11 acres and holds classroom buildings, a gym, a library, and a chapel.
Bethany School has a truly multicultural student body, with about 20 countries represented by the students and parents of the school. An International Day celebrates these cultures. Spanish is taught at all grades. Other special area classes include music, art, computer, library, Christian education, physical education, and language lab. After school activities involve students in such things as sports, chess, chapel choir, Power of the Pen, and scouts. The 15 to 1 student-to-teacher ratio allows for a very close school family.
Bethany has been involved in ISSE since 1987. We prefer to travel in February-March and host in April-May, but will consider hosting in January-February if the visiting students would like to see snow!
